Identifying Root Causes and Next Steps
Take a Look at Our 2025 Impact Report
This past year the Maine Food Convergence Project hosted its third state-wide Convergence Event, providing an opportunity to gather in person. This event serves as a space to explore new ideas, identify community needs, share resources, and foster collaboration across sectors. We also think it’s a great time to dine on local foods, see old friends and make some new ones —nurturing the relationships that help this work expand and flourish.
While much of MFCP’s effort centers on the biennial Convergence Event, the workgroups and projects—which include the Switchboard and the Community of Maine Food Advocates—keep the work moving year-round.
This year continues to challenge each of us and our communities in ways we never thought possible. Yet through our connections and ongoing collaborations, we remain steadfast in our commitment to work together to make Maine’s food system one that fosters the well-being of people, planet, and communities.
The convergence community is broad and ever-growing, and every form of engagement is both valued and needed for this work to thrive. Thank you for all that you do—for staying involved, and for helping move this work forward every day.
